Montana; September, 1989 - After John Skinner (John Michael Finley) receives a mysterious prompting to “help them see,” he learns that a young boy, Joshua Dennis (Michael Bradford) is missing in an abandoned Utah mine. Despite not having any professional training John arrives to help, but is relegated to the sidelines by Sheriff Stan Proctor (Cameron Arnett) as professional search and rescue crews explore deeper into mine. Compelled by continual promptings, John tries everything he can to offer assistance, but his unorthodox approach only heightens the increasingly desperate situation.
After days of fruitless efforts, hope begins to fade for the Sheriff, Joshua’s parents (Kirby Heyborne & Charlotte Hemmings), and the rescue workers (Jasen Wade and Ben Lomu). Ultimately, Sheriff Proctor makes the heart wrenching decision to clear out the mine and close it permanently. However, a final push from John results in an unexpected twist of faith, where he learns the source of his promptings and participates in a miracle that nobody expected.
From Writer/Director Garrett Batty, Faith of Angels is a powerful and entertaining family drama, based on the inspiring true story that President George H. W. Bush declared as “evidence that miracles still happen.”
