Slow Ways Individual Referral Campaign (2025)
1. Sponsor

2. Campaign Overview
Slow Ways is running this referral campaign to support its 2025 crowdfunding campaign. Participants can earn rewards and entries into a prize draw by referring others using a unique invite link.
3. Eligibility
This campaign is open to individuals aged 16 or over, worldwide, except where prohibited by law.
Organisation membership vouchers can only be redeemed by representatives of charities, schools, clubs, councils, libraries, health teams, social enterprises, and other nonprofit organisations.
Employees, contractors, officers, directors, and agents of Slow Ways CIC - and their immediate family or household members are not eligible for the Prize Draw and cannot win the prize.
By entering, you confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
4. Entry Period
The campaign opens at 12:00 AM BST on 30 July 2025 and closes at 8:00 PM BST on 31 August 2025. Entries submitted after this time will not be eligible for rewards or the prize draw.
5. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:
Sign up via the official campaign page hosted on UpViral
Share their unique referral link with friends, family, or supporters
Earn 1 point per valid referral (someone who signs up using your link and passes verification)
Each point also equals one entry into the prize draw. Duplicate, incomplete, or fraudulent entries may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Slow Ways CIC.
6. Rewards and Prizes
A maximum of 12 months of membership vouchers can be claimed per person, organisation, or account per campaign. Additional months can be unlocked for the purposes of gifting to another person or organisation.

Unlock up to 24 months of free membership through this campaign by earning referral points
You may also participate in our Organisation referral campaign and unlock up to an additional 24 months, bringing the total possible to 48 months

Voting on future platform features
Membership vouchers are subject to the success of our crowdfunder and must be claimed within 12 months of the new platform launch. Any unclaimed vouchers will be donated to charities or nonprofit organisations through a managed application process.
Prize Draw
Each point = 1 entry into the draw
Main Prize: £300 voucher for a two-night stay at a hotel, hostel, Airbnb, YHA, campsite, or Landmark Trust property in the UK, Ireland or the Channel Islands.
3 winners will be selected at random under the supervision of the Sponsor
Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw closing. If a winner fails to respond within 31 days, an alternate may be selected
If you are owed rewards from our Crowdfunder campaign you can claim these in addition to your referral rewards. If you've claimed a lifetime membership on Crowdfunder you will be able to gift any vouchers to friends, family or colleagues.
7. Crowdfunder Dependency
All membership vouchers and prizes are conditional on the success of the Slow Ways 2025 crowdfunding campaign. If the crowdfunder does not reach its goal of raising at least £100,000, Slow Ways cannot guarantee fulfilment of any rewards.
8. Voucher Terms
Vouchers must be claimed within 12 months of the launch of the new Slow Ways platform
A maximum of 12 months of referral-based Individual Membership vouchers can be claimed per person, organisation, or user account per campaign
Any unclaimed vouchers may be donated to charities or nonprofit organisations for redistribution
Rewards and vouchers are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash
Reward vouchers from this UpViral campaign can be used in combination with any rewards due to you as a result of backing our crowdfunding campaign. For avoidance of any doubt, if you receive a one or two year membership for backing our crowdfunder you may also claim up to an additional 12 months through this campaign.
9. Entry Limits
Only one account, entry, or claim per individual is permitted
Participants found using multiple accounts, identities, or devices to claim additional rewards may be disqualified and have all rewards revoked
You may participate in both the Individual and Organisation campaigns, but combined voucher limits still apply
10. Data Use & Privacy
By signing up, you agree that:
Your personal information will be processed by Slow Ways CIC and UpViral (Crowd9 PTY LTD)
Your data may be used for campaign administration and email marketing
You can view, edit, or delete your data at any time by contacting hello@slowways.org or accessing your UpViral profile
You may unsubscribe from emails using the link in any campaign message

11. Conduct and Disqualification
Slow Ways CIC reserves the right to:
Disqualify any participant suspected of cheating, abuse, or fraud
Remove rewards or entries obtained through misuse or automated tools
Suspend or terminate participation at its sole discretion
12. Limitation of Liability
By entering, you release Slow Ways CIC, its affiliates, and partners from liability for:
Technical failures, system errors, or delays
Misuse or non-fulfilment of any prize or reward
Any issues beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control
This does not affect your statutory rights.
13. Right to Modify or Cancel
Slow Ways CIC reserves the right to cancel, suspend, amend, or extend the campaign at any time if circumstances arise that make this necessary, including fraud, technical failures, or unforeseen disruptions.
14. Platform Disclaimer
This campaign is powered by UpViral (Crowd9 PTY LTD).
UpViral does not sponsor, endorse, or administer the campaign and bears no responsibility or liability for its operation.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the campaign, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
